Le déanaí bhí comórtas ag an gCoiste Glas. Rinne gach páiste a Ollphéist Dramhaíl féin as ábhair éagsula a bhí acu sa bhaile, mar shampla, cairt boscaí, éadach, cnaipí, buidéal plaisteach & olann. Rinne gach éinne sár-iarracht - maith sibh go léir!
The Green Schools committee recently organised a competition. Each child made their own litter monster from waste or general materials they had at home - cardboard boxes, buttons, plastic bottles, wool but to name a few. Everyone put in a great effort and the standard was extremely high - well done to everyone who participated! Rinne an Coiste Glas suirbhé ar dhramhaíl sna seomraí ranga agus bhreac siad síos cineál na dramhaíola a bhí sna boscaí bruscair gach lá. Anois tógaimid ár mbruscar abhaile linn.
The Green Schools Committee completed a survey on waste in the classrooms and they noted the type of waste in the rubbish bins each day. Now we take our rubbish home with us. I mbliana táimid tar éis cur isteach ar ár gcéad mbrat glas. Braitheann an chéad bhrat ar phobal na Gaelscoile ag gearradh siar ar, ag athchursáil agus ag áthúsáid ár ndramhaíl scoile. Ba bhreá linn go dtógfaidh gach páiste an clúdach timpeall a lóin, cartún deochanna agus aon lón nach bhfuil ithe acu abhaile leo. Tá bhur tacaíocht mar thuismitheoirí fíor thabhachtacht dúinn chun an bhrat seo a fháil. Seo roinnt moltaí:
We have applied for our first Green Flag this year. Our first flag depends upon us reducing, recycling and reusing our school waste. We are asking that all children bring home their lunchbox packaging. We need you as parents to help. The following are some suggestions.
