Míle buíochas!

Ba mhaith le Bord Bainistíochta na Gaelscoile buíochas a ghabháil leis na tuismitheoirí as a gcomhoibriú agus tacaíocht leanúnach le linn na scoilbhliana. Tá súil againn go mbeidh samhradh den scoth ag na páistí agus na tuismitheoirí agus cífmid arís sibh ag deireadh mí Lúnasa.

Lá Spórt na Walk to School/Creative Week/Active Week

This week is our active/creative week in school and is all about celebrating being active. As part of this week we are encouraging pupils to walk to school on our final day, Friday, June 23rd. Please join us on the morning of June 23rd starting at the GAA grounds from 8:50am to walk up the hill, past the chapel, to school. We will be leaving the GAA grounds at 9:05am sharp. Parents/siblings/grandparents are also welcome to walk with us to school. Please note, this is not compulsory, feel free to drop as normal to the school from 9:00am. Go raibh maith agaibh!

Ba mhaith linn buíochas ó chroí a ghabháil le Coiste na dTuismitheoirí a d’eagraigh roinnt mhaith imeachtaí éagsúla do na ranganna le linn na bliana. Go raibh céad míle maith agaibh!

We would like to thank the Parents’ Association for all of their help throughout the year. The funds raised go a long way and help with various different events which benefit each pupil in the school. We would also like to commend the Parents who directed traffic for our Sports day which helped tremendously on the day! Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

Ba mhian leis an bhfoireann i nGaelscoil Dhroichead na Banndan gach rath a ghuí ar an Rang 6 atá ag críochnú linn i mbliana agus go n –éirí go geal le gach duine acu amach anseo. Braithfimid uainn go mór sibh a pháistí.

We would like to wish all our 6th Class students and families who will be leaving Gaelscoil Dhroichead na Banndan the very best of luck and wish them every success in the next step of their educational journey.

Cuairt ón RNLI/ Visit from the RNLI and Water Safety Talk

Tháinig Angela, oifigeach ón RNLI amach chugainn le déanaí le labhairt leis na ranganna éagsúla mar gheall ar chúrsaí sábháilteachta san uisce agus an tseirbhís iontach a chuireann siadsan ar fáil dúinn ar bhonn deonach.
Anglela Veldman from the RNLI will visit all classes today and give a water safety talk to all pupils and speak about the importance of being safe around water, particularly at this time of year.

Ceardlann Drumadóireachta Jabba Jabba Jembe – Drumming Workshop

Bhí an-spraoi ag na páistí leis na drumaí agus uirlisí éagsúla a thug David isteach ar an Luan mar chuid den cheardlann drumadóireachta.

We were delighted to have Jabba Jabba Jembe workshop visit the school on Monday, for a drumming workshop will all pupils.

Buaiteoirí Sciath na Scol 2023!

Táimid an-bhródúil as foireann na mbuachaillí a d’imir go hiontach ar fad i gcluiche ceannais Sciath na Scol thíos i gCloch na Coillte an tseachtain seo caite. Comhghairdeachas ó chroí libh!

Congratulations to our boys team who competed in the West Cork Sciath na Scol final in Clonakilty. We were delighted to come back to the school with a winner’s trophy!

Blitz CLG / Bandon GAA Blitz

Ba mhaith linn ár mbuíochas a ghabháil le Hamilton High School as an mblitz peile le déanaí. Bhain na páistí sár-taitneamh as an lá.

Pupils from Rang 5 took part in a football blitz in Bandon GAA organised by Hamilton High school A big thank you to the staff and pupils of Hamilton High School for organising this event.

Comórtas Sacair/ Soccer Blitz

7/6/2023

Beidh Cumann Sacair Dhroichead na Banndan ag reachtáil blitz sacair ar an 13ú de Mheitheamh. Beidh roinnt páistí ó Rang a 5 agus Rang a 6 ag glacadh páirte ann. Go n-éirí libh!

Pupils from Rang a 5 and Rang 6 will take in a Soccer Blitz organised by Bandon AFC in June.

Boys from Rang 5 and Rang 6 will play June 13th
Girls from Rang 5 and Rang 6 will play June 14th

Parents are asked to drop their child to the Bandon Soccer Grounds from 9:00am on this day. School tracksuit is to be worn for the event and pupils will walk back to school after the blitz. Children are reminded to bring a packed lunch, water & football gear.

Lá Spóirt na Scoile/School Sports Day

Beidh Lá Spóirt na Scoile ar súil ar an Aoine an 2ú lá de mhí an Mheithimh. Cuirfear a thuilleadh eolais amach níos congaraí don am.

Our School Sports Day will take place this Friday, 2nd June, in Bandon Rugby Club. We have a full day of fun-filled activities/sports planned for the day and hope the weather remains fine!
